World’s first 3D-printed community

Rural families in the region of Tabasco in south Mexico have been given new homes thanks to a project that is building the world’s first 3D-printed neighbourhood – made up of 500sq ft homes for a community living in poverty


The Foment de les Arts i del Disseny is a non-profit association of professionals and companies linked to design. Within the FAD, five associations from the different creative disciplines and a materials center coexist.

Industrial design in Catalonia: 1928-1970

Industrial design in Catalonia was born within the framework of the GATPAC (Group of Architects and Technicians for the Progress of Contemporary Architecture) between 1928 and 1939, spreading to the general public through MIDVA (Furniture and Decoration of the Vivenda Actual), an exhibition and meeting place inaugurated in 1931 on Passeig de Gràcia.
